Highwaymaster Signs 1,500-Unit Contract With Ryder, The World's Largest Provider of Integrated Logistics and Transportation Solutions
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 21, 1998--HighwayMaster Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of HighwayMaster Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: HWYM - news), today announced a 1,500-unit contract with Miami-based Ryder System Inc. (NYSE:R - news), the world's largest provider of integrated logistics and transportation solutions, to provide HighwayMaster's award-winning, patented mobile communications system. The 1,500 units will be installed over the next two years. HighwayMaster expects the units to generate revenues in excess of $10 million, assuming they remain in service for their expected useful life.
