If you can, please elaborate on bandwidth limitations with cable. My limited understanding was that the main draw of cable was the lack of bandwidth problems. In other words, that there was plenty of bandwidth for the forseeable future.

Thanks

Len

Hi, Brent

Regarding Pristine, no, I have heard NOTHING from them since my post several days ago. I must say I am very disappointed. Looks like the Pristine guy was only here to post a "press release" for us. Apparently he does not frequent S.I. and may never read my inquiry. Would have been impressive if he had checked back for inquiries after his initial message to us. Oh, well.

Speaking of Dell, I checked with Dell and Micron (where I had bought previously) and they both had pretty much the same thing at same prices, both were very courteous and professional. However, neither would pre-install a multi-monitor video board for me (e.g., Appian Geronimo), which disappointed me. Dell would install the Appian board, but only if I bought their $9,000 workstation. Yeah, right!

But the surprising thing about both Dell and Micron (and probably with some of the others) is that for a $99 upgrade, they offered 3-year next-day on-site warranty service, both parts and labor. This, to me, seems a unbelieveable good value. None of the local PC companies would offer anything like that. I don't see how these local PC suppliers can stay in business if they don't have a competitive warranty.

So, Brent, it seems like you, me, and everyone else is still waiting for the "juicy details" from Pristine. I hope you're not holding your breath on this one <g>. By the way, I just talked to Michael Turner at Cyber Corp, and he tells me some really great things are in the near future for CyberTrader. I look for some major good news soon.

Regards,

Bill
