So you are saying that Nevada Manhatten Mining will no longer be a mining company, am I right ? What evidence do you have that the Brazilian Government has changed its ways. I have little confidence in that Government. History has shown that they have shown little or no responsibility where preservation of their natural resources are concerned. Witness the devastation to the Rain Forests and to their parrots etc many of whom are on the endangered lists. So while I applaud re-forestation efforts what exactly is the program, do you know ? Is NVMH replacing trees destroyed one for one, 2 for one, 3 for one ? Has NVMH on file any environmental impact studies ? Are the cutting programs removing selected trees while leaving others in place so as to maintain the integrity of the areas being cut, or are they cutting the whole area down thereby destroying ground cover etc ? As a U.S. public company I would hope that the information is available and that if asked the NRDC and Global Environment Fund among others will be provided with the relevant information.
