Gator...I have also traded HEC over the last two years. It is obvious that HEC has great potential, but the large number of shares outstanding and questionable past management practice has always seemed to keep the price of HEC depressed. Too much potential and not enough earnings p/ share...The stock also moves like an elephant for doing day-trading, which is not advantageous to making profits. I have taken too many small losses on HEC over the years and made too few profits to get very excited about investing in them again. These past disappointments with HEC also cause me more doubt when investing in SEV...The political situation in Columbia, corruption, drugs, and the ongoing civil war against foreign [& domestic] oil companies is also a factor when deciding to open the wallet to purchase shares...
And remember that HEC was at the middle of the BCCI scandals!! [sometimes hard to shake one's past]
