How about, the closer you get to academia (or internet newsgroups) the higher it gets piled. Our thread being a case in point. More practical folks don't usually indulge in this kind of stuff. For one thing, in the mundane world, offending people has practical effects, as does being blatantly wrong. Here, it's just a hobby. In academia, it's a paid hobby ;-) Cheers, Chaz
