Teledesic, Questions and Guesses: (1)"Initially backed by McCaw and Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates,"... did Gates back out of this? (2) How much money has McCaw committed? (3) "Wonder how this whole package is going to effect NXTL and NXLK. Really should be interesting." Gobs of data and information will be delivered world-wide to fixed terrestial locations via Teledesic. In areas where Nextel(wireless) and Nextlink(fiber) operate, that data can be then delivered locally over those systems. Or, from those systems to Teledesic. Remember, Nextel is coming out with their first-generation data product next year. The VP of Nextel International told me at the annual meeting that Teledesic would fit in nicely with Nextel (assuming Teledesic reaches operational). And just think, if your name starts with "Prince", you might be able to invest. Rob
