Thanks for the reply Flair. To all, I'm still curious if anyone has an answer... Can you buy any new PC or workstation today without a browser?

Since the DOJ complaint used Intel based PCs as their platform to define Microsoft as a monopoly, doesn't that mean that Apple has an even stronger monopoly on PowerPC based systems? Maybe we should dissect Apple's operating system to determine if they're bundling forbidden functions. Heaven forbid they have support for TCP/IP, HTML parsing, or graphical display features. In fact, since they also sell the hardware, shouldn't they be forced to include a Microsoft operating system for those consumers who would choose not to use Mac OS if given a choice??? Today they have no choice! Oh my! They may not even realize how Apple has used their monopoly to prevent them from choosing an operating system. As we all know, bundling forbidden features/functions can harm the hapless consumer (those who Beavis refers to as idiots).

I think the only answer is to start another, very large goverment division, "The Feature Police", to ensure that all consumers are protected from forbidden features/functions and all entrants in the computer industry can achieve their god given right to 50% market share.
