OK, so according to the Bell Atlantic website, CDPD provides unlimited access at 19.2kbps for $54.95/mo. (http://www.bam.com/amy_data/cdpd1.htm)

Currently, MCOM provides unlimited access at 28.8kbps (I usually get 33.6kbps myself) for $29.95/mo. That's roughly 30% (or 60%) more speed for almost half the cost.

Starting next year, Autobahn technology will boost MCOM speed to 128kbps and although pricing for Autobahn has not been announced, I expect it to be less than BAM's current CDPD price.

So, service coverage not withstanding, MCOM is still way ahead in the price/performance arena IMHO.
