WIND had us trained to expect a couple of pennies above street estimates. Anyone aware of reasons which may say otherwise? Allen's absence is disturbing, hope he is just having a good time vacationing somewhere.

(Revised) >>Greg pointed out on the other thread that their earnings growth had appeared to be slowing and they needed to report at least 17 cents to reverse the trend.<<

My calculations were wrong. They reported a 50% increase in net earnings, which exceeds last quarter's earnings growth. And the revenue growth increased from 41% to 43%. Not bad at all.

I especially liked this comment: "Communications giant Lucent Technologies this quarter selected Wind River as the embedded platform of choice for developing next-generation devices." (Last year at ESC East Lucent was hyping their own Inferno RTOS, but I haven't heard much about it since.)

I'm looking forward to the conference call.
