Jim,
I always borrow shares before placing any short sale orders, so this was not an issue for this particular order. It may be hard to beat these guys, but one of the NASD regulators told me (or maybe I read it on their web site) that it's in the NASD's best interest to maintain a fair and equitable market, as it is only with the public's confidence in the NASD market that the market will serve its purpose.
