Teledesic will not have 288 satellites--that is my opinion. You can't make any statement about capacity when it doesn't even exist yet in a form that will be implemented. I gave you only one set of numbers--those were for the dedicated sats to be built by Cyberstar. The numbers I cited came directly from Dr. Maehl's mouth. What more do you want?

Are your calculations on Skybridge capacity more accurate than those made by Skybridge itself? They say, as opposed to your 55.3 Gbps:

"Total worldwide SkyBridge system capacity amounts to at least 144 Gbps."

Add in the 16 Gbps of C* capacity as well. I do not post information off the top of my head, nor do I assume to know more than the engineers of the systems themselves. This is what Skybridge says---argue with them if you want, but don't try to post information that is not correct:

"With a constellation of 64 satellites, the system can handle 15 to 20 million users worldwide, depending on the services required.

SkyBridge provides bandwidth on demand.

Users enjoy instantaneous access to the required data rate:

For downlink communications, from a server to an end-user, data rates range from 6 kbps to 60 Mbps.

For return link communications, from the end-user back to the server, data rates range from 16 kbps to 2 Mbps.

Total worldwide SkyBridge system capacity amounts to at least 144 Gbps.

Local SkyBridge capacity totals up to 1 Gbpss over an area of 350 km in radius when only one satellite is visible, and up to 3 Gbps with 3 satellites visible. Each gateway can handle up to 350,000 users per visible satellite."
