I think the most important thing I have learned from playing BB's and fast momentum plays is, when to get in and out. I am scanning the OTC for sudden volume increases or just out news releases. Sometimes i will get a private message about a stock or even see someone post a stock with news on the thread and no one paid any attention to it.

I do quick DD and try to find a reason for the volume increase. If I like it I jump in and alert the board. Sometimes I don't find a reason for the volume, but it is so overwhelming that I get in anyway.

On a momentum play, I watch the trades go by. On the way up it is solid buys. I watch for the buying to slowdown and the first sell to hit. Then i sell all at the ask if the stock is still on an uptick. Sell on the way up and you will never get caught holding a tanked stock.

If I believe in the company, I sell half and keep half for free.
