Why are we considering 'surfing' when this unit is designed for on the job site for industry (repair crews, whatever), medical, military. Surfing would not be a big item here in my opinion. Roger

Scott, up here in Seattle there is a consumer service that provides a wireless link for computers at 28.8K. It is now in 16 cities here on the West Coast. It's called Richochet. It cost $29.95 a month for unlimited use and $10 extra for the sender/receiver modem. It'll be 2X this summer. I'm using it as I write this from a beach on Whidbey Island.
