Maybe thats what they were talking about. WHEW!

Washington DC is not a common business travel spot for me. But if you ever are in Utah or Atlanta then that would be a likely a better meeting spot. A bit of a problem with Utah since drinks are a little hard to come be...

Numbers restatement on Informix:

"Although Informix revamped its revenue-recognition policies last November to make them more conservative, the figures now being restated fell into a category whose revenue-recognition method hadn't been revised."

Why wasn't it this category revised?

"Ernst & Young raised its concerns about Informix's current accounting practices a day after it was dismissed as the company's auditor"

Sounds like a parting shot from E&Y's lead partner...Insurance would be covering E&Y's judgement/settlements anyway...

Fellow Greek, I am not in the accounting business anymore, thank God. I started out as an auditor, then tax guru (still am) and now a comprehensive fee only financial planner. For some reason I hated the auditing work, never fit my personality<g>

I liked the numbers today. Netware 5 will ship at the end of August I was told at the conference the other day. I wish it was sooner.

Any recap of the conference call?

Sorry I don't drink beer (just anticipating your offer<g>). Can I substitute with some fine wine?

George
