With this Presario 2240 using K6/200, Compaq is breaking even on this machine at the expense of AMD losing money. Compaq is becoming like Packard Bell. Time Traveler

Maverick - AMD's K6 Lost Market Share AGAIN in APril! Check it out - for the second month in a row, AMD's K6 share of the U.S. retail market fell vs. Intel's Pentium II. Two months in a row - do we have a trend here? techweb.com "The onset of high-end Pentium II PCs contributed to a 6 percent gain in sales shares for Pentium II PCs, to 49.4 percent in April. AMD K6-based PCs saw their share of retail sales fall to 21.7 percent, from 23.5 percent in March. K6-based PCs last outsold Pentium II-based PCs in January." Paul
