Smart Modular Technologies Inc. (SMOD): The maker of computer memory modules said earnings for the second quarter ended April 30 rose to 30 cents a diluted share, from 22 cents a year ago, matching the 30 cent average estimate of five analysts surveyed by IBES. The company said it sees third-quarter earnings of 19 cents a diluted share, less than the 35 cent average estimate of five analysts surveyed by IBES. Smart Modular rose 1/8 to 21 5/8.
