If you think my arguments are stupid, why are you so interested in my answer to your question? I found your question preposterous and so did not respond. Who has counted the majority? Wasn't that an opinion poll based on a sample? Today 95% polled approve of the Indian government and at least 67% of Muslims must be in this group.

Incidentally, I had given you a better answer, namely, a majority may not necessarily choose the best. Great leaders (e.g., Lincoln) are thus needed to sway public opinion (e.g., to remove slavery). Unfortunately, Pakistan has been ruled by war-mongers and dictators and so she never saw the light at the end of the tunnel.
