Sure Alan. As I've said, more than once as usual, embarrassing obsequiousness may well be good business practice at the OEM level. You got to deal with Microsoft no matter what, as Compaq found out in th sacred icon war. Ruthless and vindictive Intel wasn't a problem for them, there was competition. What the heck, maybe Michael Dell is a right thinking objectivist, and realizes Bill is, indeed, the living reification of John Galt.

Regardless of Dell's worth as a business, I haven't heard of anyone who thinks Michael Dell's testimony did Bill any favors. Distinguishing himself as the first to say "how high" when Bill says "jump" may well have been good for his company, though. The kind of objectivity an objectivist can appreciate, eh Alan?
