Today's action by PFE is another example of a great company taking responsible action. I believe these actions are positive for the appropriate long-term use of Viagra...which is in the best interests of patients, PFE and PFErs.

As most PFErs know, Viagra is contraindicated for use with nitrates since it shares the same nitric oxide/cGMP pathway. This is already clearly stated in the approved labeling.

Today, PFE issued a press release reinforcing the proper use of Viagra .

The Washington Post also reported that after 1 million Viagra Rxs that "the company hasn't seen any negative reactions beyond what it saw while testing the drug."

Today's news brought about the expected PFE profit-taking. However, for the week, PFE is still up 4.5% for the week.

I anticipate that PFE will continue to drop 2+ on Friday morning before making a rally attempt. The long weekend may result in extra downward pressure.
