All, Just spoke to my man Flint upon his return home from the show. Earlier when I spoke to him on the DVG he was not at liberty to speak as freely and so I really didn't have the details. Here is what he had to offer: Godzilla, or more aptly the "Son of Godzilla" had four people engaged in spirited conversation with Neil Wyenn in the front booth "learning center" Two of the four were assumed to be techies, the other two were unmistakenly "wheels". Flint monitored their discussion and stated that from what he could gather they (being the 4 lizards) were initimately familiar with Franklin's equipment, in fact they were the ones talking the virtues of the DVG. Feature rich, a total package, a platform of telephony integration that left little to want for. They inquired of a few features they would like to possibly see added, to which Neil informed them Franklin was already on top of, plus a few other extras they hadn't even considered. So who are the Lizards? A clue: fragrance, foreign, a wholly owned subsidiary of a Intl presence. Flint went on to say that the main booth was top notch, polished and projected a very "mature company" image. The attendees were very professional, all wearing Franklin emblazoned shirts, reflecting a team effort. First class and definitely of equal status to some the larger more established names within the industry. He estimated that there were probably 150 or more vendors in attendance, but only eight were invited to the "learning center", one of which was Franklin. My Man Flint said that it was like night and day by comparison to the NYC show. "Spectacular" was actually the word he used. We've got a real company with a leadership image and a crew that walk the walk and talk the talk. Sounds encouraging, rb BTW, he also stated that at the back booth he wasn't able to really talk to anyone, all the representatives were engaged with show attendees.
