We'll have to do a study on the effects of volatile stocks on one's temperament. I know it's been a rough 8 mos for
me. I'm already looking forward to '99. That is the one sad part of this game. You tend
to look ahead and wish for time to pass when this is something nobody should ever wish
for; time is too precious.


I was at a conference recently where one of the networking CEOs, I forget which one, opened his remarks by saying, "I wish '98 were over. . ."

Laughter throughout the room.

If you do a psychological study, include a category, "Psychological Tension and Percentage of Account Margined." The volatility is a gift if you have dry powder.
