Does any one else have recent price data on 64MB SDRAM PC100 ?
Does any other source see rise in SDRAM ?
Does any one have story on why rise in SDRAM ?
Is San Jose Newspaper "out of line" with the rest of world ?

MU's continued stock price drop does not match rise in SDRAM ?????

Toshiba 64-Mbit SDRAMs meet Intel PC100 spec
Toshiba America Electronic Components Inc.'s new 64-Mbit SDRAMs are fully compliant with Intel Corp.'s PC100 specification.

Toshiba said it is the first company to adhere to Intel's specification for Column Address Strobe Latency 2, a parameter for high-end workstation and server applications.

"We have the production capacity to meet the demand for this growing market," said Stephen Marlow, director of memory marketing at TAEC. "Toshiba is now very well positioned to be the leader in the 64-Mbit DRAM market."

Toshiba's validated PC100 SDRAMs include its 8-Mbitx8 TC59S6408BFT and its 4-Mbitx16 TC59S6416BFT. The 2-Mbitx8 TC59S1608AFT is under evaluation.

Intel's testing parameters include access times, setup/hold times, drive strengths, input capacitances, and input clamp characteristics.

The PC100 SDRAMs are based on 0.25-micron CMOS process technology, which enables the chip to be reduced to 79.4 mm2.

The TC59S6408BFT and TC59S6416BFT have a minimum cycle time of 8 ns and voltage of 3.3 V plus/minus0.3 V. Both have an LVTTL interface.

The devices, which come in 54-pin, 400-mil TSOPs, cost $19.50 in 1,000s.
