re: that Merrill security. There is a catch which Glassman didn't pick up. I'd have to read the prospectus to find it and I haven't, but there is no way anybody in their right mind would take the other side of that trade. Who is getting suckered into this based on that sales pitch. Merrill Lynch isn't stupid, but in my experience they are not unethical either. Based on that article, the journalist didn't do his homework.
