Jean/David. Another view on the Non-mention of IDX.
After reading that link I did not come away thinking that IDX was forgotten. Instead, I came away with a good feeling that the government already knows us, and therefore let us bypass the Q & A. In fact, the government has been using IDX technology for years for deep government security. The Government knows they can trust us. On the other-hand the companies mentioned in the link are for the most part new. They are delving in a variety of new, unexplored technology with the promise of instant problems because of the new territory they breech. Generally speaking, getting called to testify in front of a sub-committee could have a potential downside to the ones called in. If the meetings result in any sort of public back-lash, somebody may have just given us a big break. Also with C-Span following every word uttered, a wrong statement might cause problems with a stock or be the downfall of a new technology.
