Remember this is only speculation on my part, I don't know for fact that there has been ANY joint effort between the two companies.

What I was implying was that IMO this seems reasonable.

In Sept. 22 , 1997 (msg 7032) TPI released the news on the letter of intent with BMR. This was 8 months ago. Both companies are working toward the same goal of solving the Y2K problem; one at source code level and one at machine language level (veretex 2000).

TPI has demonstrated (to my satisfaction) that they are able to effectively market themselves as a competent corporation in this field. If BMR has a superior method of converting data to resolve the problem then it seems feasible to me that this is a reasonable venture to pursue with BMR and TPI.

If TPI is to fully utilize this method of conversion then they would need to be involved at a significant level in order to understand how the process works. Assuming the veretex 2000 still required some changes IMO it would be in TPI's best interest to assist wherever possible. It would provide insight into the process as well as hopefully help to resolve any changes that were required in order to make BMR's system work to the best of its ability. .
