<Is that the same DEC bus system which Ali has been bragging about how it is superior to Slot-I, etc?>

No, this is a simple PCI <-> PCI bridge. It's purpose is to expand the number of available PCI slots. It looks like it runs at 66mhz though so I don't know what Intends to use it with. Standard PCI busses run at 33mhz. If I read the AGP spec correctly, the port can also act as a 66mhz PCI slot, but could not be used with a PCI to PCI bridge because it isn't a bus, just a port. I have been poking fun at Ali because he mistakenly claimed the AGP port was simply a PCI to PCI bridge.

As for SlotA, Ali has spoken highly about it but has not given any details. I have seen a block diagram and it looks very interesting however I think (Ali please correct me with details if I am wrong) claims of superiority are based on Intel's current implimentation. Slot1/2 can easily scale to much higher frequencies and be widened to 128 bits or more. Perhaps Ali will share with us his reasons for claiming superiority.
