Diana, first let me tell you:
1. If you cleared out your Schwab acct. (ie. transferred the entire contents of the acct.) to a new brokerage house you get into the realm
of ACAT & non-ACAT transfers. Result- it could take 3-6 weeks for the transfer.

As explained to me - if you want to change brokerages, always leave a
little cash or a few stock in the old account- never completely close
out the acct. at one time. That way you can transfer the majority of the acct. by DTC (Direct Transfer electronically). After the transfer
is confirmed, transfer the remaining.

Also, as explained to me (& I found to be true) most brokers will not
be in a hurry to transfer funds out of your acct. with them. Esp. with
Schwab (those guys get paid whether they help you or not). I transferred (DTC) myself by fax from Schwab to Yamner in one day with a
form that Yamner emailed me (again, not the entire acct).

I'll see if I can find the 800 # in Frisco and send it to you.
Since you are already in the ACAT, non ACAT realm, probably all you can do is just bug the hell out of them.
