Have not heard of that kilo bar, and have tended to focus more on bullion coins over the years. The main advantage is no assaying or certification prior to sale. There is another aspect too. Many people see these coins as a method of purchasing power following a monetary/banking collapse. The idea of hauling around a kilo of gold where the ability to make change is limited, and perhaps people are rioting for lack of food, etc. appears cumbersome. I've always liked the idea of small denomination gold (and silver) coins. Of course, if you have millions to stash, the kilo and 100 oz bars become important vehicles. So, are we talking about investment or survival? An interesting topic either way.
