Rex -

1. A couple of months ago I posted here about the packaging on the shleves of Smart Media compared to SanDisk. Fuji have Smart Media in their familiar green packaging and it seemed to me that the SNDK products looked like they were from electronics parts stores and packaged without any concern of smart presentation or marketing. I posted that and Michael was going to referthat concern to the company but I haven't heard back yet.

2. Whatever else is gong on with this stock the market is clearly re-assessing values in this sector. SMOD may not be comparable and I don't know what happened to its earnngs over the last year but yesterday it came out with a great announcement with huge increases in revenues and earnings but the stock finished up 1/8.

3. SNDK is heading relentlessly lower. My guess is that it will be in single figures by the end of next week or the week after.

Senior management have been selling shares;
The stock price is nose-diving and they don't say a word to say they don't understand why this is so because there is nothing wrong that they know of;
There are at least six weeks till earnings announcements ( does anyone know the date of Q2 announcement);
There doesn't seem to be any more interest from funds to invest in the stock;
There hasn't been a new analyst for maybe six months maybe longer;
Semi-condutor sector is now seen almost universally by the market as bad news with worse to come.

All in all there are a truck load of reasons why this stock is dead and heading for the bottom and sadly not one to make it remotely attractive.

I made the mistake of falling in love with a stock and dreaming about all the growth and forgetting that if you want to make money by investing go with a few major Dow components and other than a very very very small part of your portfolio stay away from tech stocks or sooner or lalter you will take the beating of your life.

Rex, check SMOD today for consolation. Down 36% on downgrade from the already low price a couple days ago. The whole chip sector is not in favor. I have learned to invest in favored sector and non high tech stocks now.

Note that SMOD had a secondary at 40 something (after split) last year around the time of SNDK secondary. SMOD is at 13ish today!!! Some lawsuit will start flying.

Rex,

Kodak has announced two new cameras: the DC220 and DC260, each using
the Kodak Digital Science Picture Card (8 MB Compact Flash from Sandisk ?)

Kodak has a thick fold out add for the 210 in June's issue of Wired.

Kodak has finally put some add dollars behind Digital Cameras!
