Miss Bartley?? I was gone a few days, and we are on formal terms already? Well, Mr. Kroupa, I am not sure what network I was watching, because I was channel surfing. It was quite obvious to me that the planned, studied news stories were all cut out or woefully abridged in order to cover the school shooting in Oregon. I suspect that there would have been more detail to the Europa blurb if they had not been pressed for time, but as it was, there was just a picture of ice with brown slush under it, and a sentence or two of narration.

I would say that it was very most likely NBC, and least likely CBS, with ABC in the middle in terms of probability. Ed Bradley was narrating the CBS coverage in Dan Rather's absence, and I do not believe it was his voice I heard, but I could be wrong.

I tried to do a news search but could not find anything there, either. But this is a VERY good searching tool for any recent or breaking news subject--I use it constantly:

drudgereport.com

While I was there, I discovered that Charlie Sheen has been hospitalized because of a drug overdose, and that apparently the CIA says that the rocket technology the Chinese got because Clinton overruled his senior advisors in favor of Loral and Bernie Schwartz, his largest campaign contributor, was almost identical to what you would need to launch nuclear missiles, of which the Chinese have 13 aimed at the United States!!!
