Want to know who the true "robber barons" are? The career politicians!

Please explain something to me: If you create something of value and people freely buy it, why is that being a "robber baron"?

Christine,

Suppose a street person came up to you in S.F. and insisted on removing your purse from your hands and placing it in his, because he NEEDED it. Would you have any trouble identifying which were the "proper" hands for your purse? Neither do I have any doubt that when the government TAKES my money, given to me in return for valuable service rendered, and gives it to someone else to fulfill their NEED, that it has been removed from the proper hands. Now, if someone makes money criminally, as in robbing, that's a different story. They should be thrown in jail.

Perhaps we should define "common good". I suspect your definition is somewhat looser than mine.
