Incomplete Rhapsody and iMAC , uninterested channel , CEO time ?

Marc, there are still are 3 months to their distribution , but these new AAPL products "as is" may fizzle unless improved .

UNIX is advancing to NT as a co-host OS , thus Rhapsody shouldn't require a reboot to run Windows NT . NT is the "purchase" driver as there are few native Rhapsody apps to compel ADDING Rhapsody's use .

Your article credited "Interim" CEO Jobs for a NET ready iMAC but gets real at the end citing iMACS' flaws:

" Already, people are focusing on some of its weird quirks. The decision to include a 33.6K modem is strange, considering 56K has become the standard and boosting the speed wouldn't have cost much. "

" The lack of a floppy-disk drive will be a problem, he (Henry Noer) noted, as will the dearth of cheap, compatible printers. The price-tag, though low by Apple standards, might not be low enough for consumers who now expect entry-level home computers to be priced below $1,000 US. "

The second article confirms a revived , loyal , and efficient channel is AAPL's next recovery step .

The people responsible for this have to be viewed by the channel with suspicion . AAPL's VP of sales M. Mandich , sells every share of AAPL he gets "free" , and AAPL's CTO , "Tevie" A. , is a close second .

Pixar is bubbling up and maybe its time for AAPL's board to hire a marketing savy CEO , not encumbered by worn out loyalties, , to help Jobs guide AAPL's further recovery .

Regards,
Jim K.
PS: Congrats on your NOVL !

Good link post!

I especially liked the tail dragger humor at the end. How many of these behaviors have the Little Big Guy done?

<<snip>>

Three Things Only an Idiot Would Do...

1) Try to commit suicide by jumping out of their basement
window.

2)While in a public bathroom stall, fill up a large flask with
Mountain Dew and squirt it erratically under the stall walls of
your neighbors stall while yelling, "Whoa! Easy boy!".

3) Walk out of talks with the government.
