I just sent this to Jill at SI: Jill, would you mind checking into any possibilities of posters named arif adam, ira monas (the most recent one), INTHEFLESH, and Jonathan Lebed possibly being the same person. It is widely believed that there is some false posting and very serious identity theft within this group mentioned. It would be nice if SI had a more rigorous verification process at the sign-up authorization stage. It's too easy to create panic and confusion with these assumed personas. Does SI have any ideas for preventing false and duplicate identities? Also, shouldn't SI have a policy against a user name being issued twice--(i.e. "ira monas" signed up on SI twice...May 5 and May 22--what's up with that?..) Member 4621620 AND Member 4657876 Thanks!!
