There seems to be quite a bit of pressure on the techs today. Sector rotation? Was there anything specific in the news today that would cause the techs to get bashed (besides the shaky earnings outlook that we already know about)?

Re: "this could make wall street get nervous and to cover their ass they will downgrade the stock. amat has been strange a week ago you had huge buying at 38-39..."

IMHO, it's too late for "wall street to cover their ass". Anyone who hadn't recommended that their clients get out by that last earnings report is worse than useless, big-time. That last run up was a major gift. And no, I'm not bitter about all of WS's silliness -g-.

my point is usually the best time to buy a compaNY is when wall street dumps or throws it out

Come on over to the ADPT thread if you want to see a beaten down stock that once was a market leader...and if you are right, now is the time to be looking to buy this one, because the street has dumped it in spades.
