Perhaps he's already getting a reasonable idea of where things are going this quarter and is then extrapolating based on normal seasonal characteristics. I haven't been following SMOD for a long time but Ajay seems to have good reputation, does make a very honest impression, and doesn't seem like someone who would want to sell out, but what do I know? SMOD started trading on instinet at $16. Don't trust this premkt trade. It's extremely thin and easily manipulable. We'll have to wait at least until 9:45 to see where things are really at. Even if SMOD only earns 80cents for the entire upcoming year, 16 makes for a forward PE of 20... Now its at 15 Dave

Chinmoy; You state smod "is a leader in its field". I have previously raised this point (based on numerous such comments on this thread) to my broker. He said, "bullsh--! If smod closed their doors tomorrow no-one would know the difference. Plenty of alternative sources for smod's products, with equal quality and good delivery. Smod is just another mediocre fish in a very large pond." And judging from wall street's reactions right now (which in my view is the usual overreaction) they likewise are generally convinced that smod is a nothing stock; a so-so company and it certainly does not deserve to be given any accolades.
