Interesting article on antibiotic resistance. The last listed strategy for more powerful treatments is of special interest. news.pharmaceuticalonline.com "Developing new, more powerful treatments to overcome situations in which bacteria are resistant to all currently available antibiotics." From the 97 XOMA annual report something powerful! "This protein, BPI (bactericidal/permeability-increasing) was among the first to be discovered and remains the most powerful of a group of host-defense proteins found in the azurophilic granules of these cells. These proteins are sophisticated biochemical weapons for killing invading microorganisms." Probably just a coincidence but it's a powerful reminder of what Neuprex could possibly do.
