Steve: Re: Bulgarian and Swedish Y2K fixes ...

You've just gotta' find yourself a different hobby. Being a "Search Engine Groupie" is beginning to show some side effects.

I have to admit though, that the people who came up with these new advances in computing are doing the right thing. Don't let out too much news until the process has been patented. Wouldn't want to let the cat out of the bag too early. Heck, there are still 18 months to go! Save "THE" solution for the last 3 months and charge a gazillion dollars for it (or whatever the currency is in Bulgaria and Switzerland).

Thanks for the laugh(s),

TED

When I hear that a 'government expert' agrees...

..then pardon my scepticism. but how many people in government do you know who are really experts at anything. The experts are out in industry making money. Not in some dusty office pontificating.

Where was this 'expert' 5 or even 2 years ago? Was he or she warning the Swedish Government about it? Have they already fixed the problem there?

This is yet another Silver Bullet solution put out by the media, who know less about the problem than any of us here.

And 18 months for a patent :-) Nice one, lets seem 'em roll it out in a week then (and test it!)
