Robert, I do not think that is off topic at all. It seems to me the implication is that as standardly available commercial products become ever more powerful, the applications for which specially designed computers will be used (read CCUR realtime computers) will continue their multiyear downward trend. Furthermore, although CCUR appears to have a leading VOD position now, this comment may apply as well to that business down the road. Depending on the strategies of purchasers
might it be an issue with prospective purchasers now? I do not know.

I suspect that this is true across the entire computer industry. As general purpose hardware has power beyond almost every need, at prices, because of volume production, that make it uneconomical to use custom hardware, most of the specialized hardware companies will have to become specialized software companies using standard hardware
in order to survive.
