they say you don't have a top until the last holdout throws in his hat.

I think you're seeing alot of this unfortunately. People are thinking in the past about all of DELL's gains and now they finally feel confident enough to buy and it is too late.

I sell out of yur position and take your loss on any intraday bounce. there's nothing to hold this stock up between here and 70ish.

If you just want to hedge. take a look at the Oct, that's probably enough time for you to make up your mind whetehr you want to bail or not.

Pat Hughes -- re:I bought DELL last week. My friend had been bugging the s$%# out of me so I got sucked in on a stock that my gut told me was way over-valued, due for a reality check(correction) and does not really do anything special (sorry thread I feel thay are simply a box-maker) MOST importantly, I hope I am wrong. which I usually am with stocks.

Any advice on buying PUTS!

You are prudent in your request. (Don't let anyone on this -- or any other thread -- convince you that investment protection is foolish.)

A short time prior to earnings release, another individual posed a similar question. I've provided a link so that you can investigate:

Message 4512324

In a nutshell, the individual held 1000 shares of DELL with intention to hold for about another month. S/he was nervous and was looking for protection. It is my hope that the advice offered (or a variation thereof) was followed.

Good luck.
