DCH received a $1.5 Million commitment for expansion of its operations and technological developments from Oxford International. The funding is in the form of 8% convertible debentures. Oxford is a leader in investment banking and financial services. They have provided financing from conventional commercial transactions to sophisticated joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions. 2. DCH has formed a Joint Venture with Rode & Associates, Alternative Insurance Works and a soon to be announced Washington based company to provide a unified set of risk management services, including insurance, for renewable energy projects. The "Renewable Energies Group" is currently reviewing several product and systems project plans and will be directly involved in supporting the deployment of hydrogen based technologies worldwide. Liability protection will potentially become an important aspect the developing hydrogen economy 3. DCH signed an International Marketing Agreement with Intelligent Systems Technology (IST). Quang M. Lam, President of IST, said, "IST will be placing DCH hydrogen sensor systems into several applications in China. IST has issued a contract to DCH for equipment to detect abnormalities in conduit, pipes and underground wire runs where hydrogen is used as a trace gas to verify the integrity of the system." 4. DCH has received a contract to provide hydrogen sensors to Ford Motor Company for use in its hydrogen fuel cell vehicle project. DCH is currently configuring a sensor system for vehicle safety which is being reviewed by General Motors and Daimler Benz. 5. The California Hydrogen Business Council (CHBC) will be meeting on May 20, 1998 at the National Fuel Cell Research Center located at the University of California - Irvine.
