Wouldn't a brand-spanking-new system with today's modularity and eye towards future be an attractive alternative to replacing a system built with yesterday's infantile quirks?

Within certain budget constraints and smaller systems, I am sure a complete revamping will form a significant proportionate strategy for dealing with Y2K.

I hate to say the phrase and offer apologies to cat lovers and the few cats I know, but, I'm looking at "a dead cat bounce" play. I have had gainful positions in ORCL and CD and think this may next week's calling. Given mgmt's comments that yearly targets are on-target and MANU's well regarded position in a tight market countered with externalities (Greenspan, general market malaise) leading to over-selling, there may be some upside by next Qtr--just my fat finger trying to find the target.
