Hi Doug, glad to see You here,
You must be really busy doing writups for Lone Star Growth investor. One of Your picks MASK I really feel is soundly undervalued. Another (UTEK) may have hit the mother-lode with ISI acquisition.

Back to AMUT & telco valuations:
There's a discrepancy in visibility in HDSL/xDSL players:
When You consider the price to sales ratio, there seem to be 2 groups:

Group 1: with Price to Sales Ratio of 3.0 - 5.0
like ADTN, PAIR - I call them "high visibility" plays because everybody knows they have a HDSL,xDSL solution

Group 2: with Price to Sales Ratio of 1.0 - 2.0
the low visiblitiy plays like TLTN (Teltrend). They do have SDSL but they are not so followed.

Regarding AMUT, well they should have revenues of $45 milliion+ this year. With 28 million shares outstanding, that would mean sales per share of $1.60 this year. However that's from the MUX-6 product alone, so Price to Sales is 1.25, very low for an upstart with new product groups (SDSL) hitting the market. Just a single DigiCOP SDSL contract and a new area of business (let me guess: $400 million revenues) could be opened up..

best wishes
CROSSY

Hi Doug --

I agree. Let's compare PAIR (and similar companies) with AMUT. Anyone have ideas on how to begin, or what the relative indicators might be? P/E, Price/Sales, Debt/Equity, would all interest me. I'll see what I can find.
