Mark...Due to Elwood's recent silence I suspect the putter has already done its work.

You can expect a split after several more buyback programs reduce the float 1/2 of what it is now. Heck they have to put all that cash somewhere. <G> Steve

Mark, I was agreeing with you right up to the part about no splits for several years. Unless several years means 2 to you, "thats crazy"! I bet it splits in year 2000 if not sooner. Server market growth, Y2K compliance, Digital merger, etc... Compaq has too many things going for it.
