Easier for the Germans/Euro world - they're GSM so you can build to a single standard for everyone and load up on features without compatibility or dual (even triple) mode engineering problems.

Two things...and pardon the sloppy grammar because I'm catching a plane in ten minutes.

Declining handset prices ARE positive for QC. Remember that demand is elastic and QC makes money from royalties, ASICs and QPE. With its manufacturing problems behind it, QPE should begin to see margins improve (and also benefit from the launch of the 800MHZ 'Q'), but CDMA growth overall is a more important delta to the company's long-term success.

QC is developing a portfolio of handset products, some oriented towards the commodity price point, some at the high-end. But, all promise to converge a number of telecom technologies (including internet access) into a transportable paradigm. I would expect a number of product introductions along this vein over the next six to twelve months.
