It's easy to do the math. Dell has 7% of a market
that is shaping up like this according to IDC.

Volumes in 1000s

1997 1998 1999 2000 2001

Desktop 62,871 70,769 79,078 88,322 97,956
Y/Y 12.00% 12.60% 11.70% 11.70% 10.90%

Portab 14,453 16,852 19,984 22,821 25,619
Y/Y 22.40% 16.60% 18.60% 14.20% 12.30%

Server 1,777 2,153 2,598 3,006 3,416
Y/Y 38.00% 21.10% 20.70% 15.70% 13.60%

Total 79,101 89,774 101,661 114,150 126,990
Y/Y 14.20% 13.50% 13.20% 12.30% 11.20%

Average growth for the market is 13%. Inflation
is 3%. Dell will grow at 3x or 40% which means
Dell should finish 2000 with revenues of 35Billion.

These are facts, this is growth. Short the company
that has it's competitors in a full nelson at your
own risk.
