News release - May 22, 1998

Trooper Technologies Inc.

Mr. Stan Lis of Trooper Technologies reports
The contempt proceedings brought by the Trooper against Thermo Tech
Technologies and Thermo Tech Waste Systems (collectively, Thermo Tech)
commenced yesterday before the Honourable Mr. Justice Cohen in the Supreme
Court of British Columbia.
In these proceedings the company is seeking the imposition of punishment against
Thermo Tech for its continued contempt of the Jan. 20, 1998 order of the
Honourable Mr. Justice Cohen. These proceedings were made necessary in view
of the continued and willful non-compliance of such order requiring Thermo Tech
companies to deliver to the company and International Eco-Waste Systems S.A.
all standard certified engineering specifications, including drawings, regarding
thermophilic plants.
The Court heard the cross-examination of several witnesses from both parties,
however, some further evidence and submissions remain to be presented.
Accordingly, a new date must be set to conclude the hearing. It is expected that
this will be completed within the next few weeks.
While the hearing is not concluded, the company remains fully confident that the
Court will uphold the company's rights to have Thermo Tech comply fully with the
existing order of the Honourable Mr. Justice Cohen.
Further news releases will follow with respect to the progress of the proceedings.
