Thanks, lets hope people start seeing the potential that pnlk has. 300billion $'s a year is the expected number for internet commerce by 2000...

Thanks, Carol, for posting this message from Glenn. We should accept this as a response to all of us, so we don't all start approaching him individually for explanations about what's happening.

Clearly, he understands that things have gotten way out of hand, and I'm sure he's working behind the scenes to address that. He'll need to stay focused right now, and I'd encourage all of us to give him some space so he can do the work that needs to be done.

By the way, it stands to reason that this is going to get worse before it gets better. The WSJ article will doubtless spawn copycat articles from the AP, Reuters, Barron's, national newspapers, and the like. If this does happen, let's all be ready to sit tight and quietly support Glenn and PNLK in their ongoing work. Glenn knows he needs to change the story so they focus on international trade and global economics, rather than hype and fear. But this will take him some time, and I think we'd be well served to bear that in mind and support him in his efforts.

I think Malko has the right idea at this point: stay focused on the longer term prospects and sit tight while this storm passes. It is intensely frustrating to see the story that brought us all here get lost in the "scandal" -- but that's the hand we've been dealt for the short run.
