Really???? Try reading Engineering Economy or any similar reference on the subject of economic analysis of the purchase decision. And by the way, those "cooked" numbers are precisely the approach used by every major corporation on all capital purchase decisions. If you run a business and are making decisions according to your posts, you are in the enviable position of saving lots of money! I do this kind of analysis for a living, and I'm for hire. TTFN, CTC
