The CKFR/Visa lash-up looks better all the time.

1. This WILL allow consumers to buy over the internet and instantly debit their checking account. CKFR will get paid (50% of the fee).

2. And get this, it will also allow customers to load electronic "money" onto a "smart card" at home to use like cash. And CKFR will get paid for that, too!

So I am informed.

CKFR probably didn't want to put this stuff in the press release for fear of sending the stock up instead of down. ;-)

Call me a little slow -- but now I see that this deal instantly makes CKFR a dominant player in internet commerce, separate and apart from the e-bill, billpay business. My worries are not just eased, they are erased.
