Rooster,

May I offer a sad story of mine as something for you to think about: I own CXIM, which is a stock that had (company induced) rumors of a buyout for many times what the company was worth. I bought it at 3. The company went so far as to announce Robertson Stephens as the investment firm that was going to handle its attempt at "enhancing shareholder value." In a few days it went to 8. My broker said, "you'll be a fool if you sell at 8, the investment bankers have told us 12 at a minimum or they wouldn't have even bothered to do this deal." Well, the deal never did happen and I still own 1/2 my position now at 3 right where I started.

The moral in my most humble opinion is this: Though technical analysis is sometimes wrong, rumors are FAR more often wrong. And in this business you need to play the percentages. By the way, all my technical indicators showed a breakdown at 8, but I didn't want my broker to think I was a fool! Sounds like an AA meeting with all these confessions doesn't it.
